ABOUT MEC



The Middletown Education Collaborative (MEC) is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization engaged in fundraising for education enrichment purposes.
MEC MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Middletown Education Collaborative is to provide funding for unique and individual educational opportunities in the Middletown public schools through the awarding of grants for a wide range of resourceful and creative programs, to provide scholarships to deserving students graduating from Middletown High School, to cooperate with public and private agencies engaged in programs and services to improve public education in Middletown, Rhode Island, to acknowledge and reward educator excellence, and to solicit and ensure adequate funding for the accomplishment of the above purposes.
OUR VISION
MEC strives to fund experiences that affect the greatest population of students through programs such as artists-in-residence, enriching field trips, performances, and real-time, in-class experiences, with a focus on art, culture, science and math.
